Welcome to the Palm Beach County School District Staff Association website.
The Staff Association represents approximately 1,500 non-bargaining unit employees who are not represented by a union. Membership is available to District Administrators, Confidential Secretaries, Behavior Interventionists, Afterschool Directors, Purchasing Agents, Technicians, Program Planners, and all other employees not covered by a bargaining unit. The Staff Association meets with Management to improve salaries, benefits, sick/vacation leave, and personnel issues which impact covered employees.
There are 12 elected members who comprise the Board of Directors, four of whom are the Association officers. The Board meets monthly. Each non-bargaining group has a representative on the Board of Directors.
General meetings are open to all eligible employees to provide information about current and pertinent issues. Information regarding these meetings is available to you through this site.
The Staff Association employs a Consultant who represents dues-paying members on personnel matters affecting their individual evaluations, conflicts with colleagues or supervisors, and/or changes in their employment status. The Consultant is our spokesperson on legislative matters, as well as our liaison to Management and the School Board members.
The Staff Association has an attorney on retainer, on a limited basis, for legal issues that cannot be resolved by the Consultant.
Membership forms are available from any of the Board of Directors. Membership fees are based upon salary level and paid by payroll deduction.
